Zi Invoking Si Lu: Double Jia-Zi, the Gui–Wu–Bing–Xin Chain and Month Context

Zi Invoking Si Lu starts with Jia-Zi day and Jia-Zi hour. Both Zi branches carry Gui Direct Resource (a traditional role associated with learning, care and dependable support); the source then uses Gui–Wu and Bing–Xin links involving Si and You to discuss Jia’s authority. The actual double Jia-Zi and the invoked participants must be kept separate.

What does each stem in the chain contribute?

Zi hour on Jia-Zi day is indeed Jia-Zi. Gui is actually hidden in both Zi branches. If Si and You are absent, their participants below are invoked targets, not additions to actual hidden stems (the additional element symbols traditionally assigned inside each lower chart symbol).

StemRole for JiaSource link

Why does Chou appear in both the Metal group and an obstruction?

Si–You–Chou names the Metal trine invoked in the explanation. An actual Chou, however, combines with the source Zi and is treated as an obstruction to remote invocation. Those are different levels of the theory.

Actual Wu-Horse clashes with Zi. Both Chou’s combination and Wu-Horse’s clash need explicit participants, rather than assuming every related branch strengthens the target without affecting the source.

Why does the source example still contain Geng?

It has the required Jia-Zi day/hour pair and also exposes Geng. Geng is Jia’s Killings, Ji Direct Wealth (a traditional role associated with managing resources and ongoing responsibilities), Yi in Mao Rob Wealth (a traditional role associated with shared resources, cooperation and competition) and Gui in three Zi branches Direct Resource. Geng cannot be ignored to make the case fit an earlier prohibition.

The passage also discusses mediation, Killings generating Resource (the role family that supports the birth-day element, often interpreted through learning and support) and month context, so the case belongs with those qualifications. Ji-Mao month fits a Geng year and Jia-Zi hour a Jia day; compatibility does not prove every strict condition at once.

Can the chart be read without the remote theory?

Yes: actual Resource, peers, Wealth (the role family controlled by the birth-day element, often interpreted through resources and practical demands), Killings and the month can be explained directly. The source itself points toward ordinary Officer interpretation in some You/Chou-month contexts. Remote invocation is additional theory, not the only readable content.

The page breaks the chain into understandable relations and prevents an invoked Officer being presented as calculated fact. It guarantees no position, exam result, income or family outcome.
