Chou Invoking Si Lu: Xin-Chou, Gui-Chou and Actual Authority

Chou Invoking Si Lu starts with Xin-Chou or Gui-Chou day and repeated Chou, discussing Officer (the role family that controls the birth-day element, often interpreted through rules and demands) in an absent Si through a remote theory. Xin invokes Bing Officer and Gui invokes Wu Officer; their seasons and participants are different.

Whom does each day invoke, and which source conditions differ?

The table preserves the main autumn/winter distinction. Bing and Wu have Lu at Si under the Earth-following-Fire convention; this is the invoked Officer’s Lu, not the Xin/Gui Day Master’s own Lu.

What is already hidden in Chou, and is remote breaking a standard Six Break?

Chou contains Ji, Gui and Xin: Indirect Resource, Eating God and Peer for Xin; Killings, Peer and Indirect Resource for Gui. Gui-Chou therefore already has hidden Killings. The absent target is specifically Wu Officer in Si, not all authority.

The passage’s Chou breaking Si is wording in its special remote theory. In the standard Six Break relation, Chou pairs with Chen, not Si. The basic branch table should not be rewritten to make this name look directly computable.

What roles do Zi, Wei, Si and Shen/You play?

Zi combines with source Chou, Wei clashes with it, and actual Si fills the supposedly absent target. The main passage also uses Shen or You to retain Si: Shen–Si is a Six Combination and You shares Si’s Metal-trine group.

The same passage excludes Mao, Chen, Shen, You and Hai hours and turns to arched Lu for Gui-Hai hour. Shen/You retaining the target therefore does not make every Shen/You hour eligible. Position and alternative classifications matter.

Why can a storage month or Gui-Hai hour change the classification?

The storage months contain several hidden stems and allow direct mixed-qi Wealth/Officer/Resource readings. Gui-Chou day with Gui-Hai hour raises a separate arched-Zi-Lu question between Hai and Chou. Neither is the same target as remote Si.

The name is useful for distinguishing target, source, position and method. Choosing an ordinary, clearly explained authority or Resource route does not make a person’s chart inferior.
