Hong Luan Tian Yin: Four Eating God Examples and Their References
Hong Luan Tian Yin names four Eating God (a traditional role associated with creativity, expression and enjoyment) examples in Sanming Tonghui. It is separate from the familiar Hong Luan relationship star and does not create a Resource (the role family that supports the birth-day element, often interpreted through learning and support) stem. The useful starting point is the actual Eating God and its pillar position.
What are the four examples, and do they all form day/hour pairs?
The source gives generating relations such as Bing to Wu and Xin to Gui, followed by day/hour wording. It does not explicitly define every entry as a strict Day-Master (the birth-day element used as the chart’s reference)/Hour-Pillar (the two-symbol column for the birth hour) pair. Imposing that interpretation makes two rows incompatible with the hour rule.

How are Xin/Gui-Chou and Yi/Ding-Wei retained?
Xin day has Ji-Chou at Chou hour; Yi day has Gui-Wei at Wei hour. Their original Xin–Gui and Yi–Ding relations remain Eating God, but the reference is not necessarily the Day Pillar (the two-symbol column for the birth day), and the short text does not fully specify it.
Separating reference stem, target pillar and hour compatibility preserves the examples without inventing their Year or Month positions. Any alternative reference needs to be stated and justified.
Do the four storage branches justify a universal table?
The examples cover Xu, Chou, Chen and Wei, but that alone does not explain each pairing. Calling them all the Eating God’s own tomb fails for Ren’s Jia: Jia’s tomb is Wei under the usual forward stages, while the passage pairs Jia-Chen.
The four sourced examples are retained without inventing six more. A complete ordinary Eating God mapping is derivable; this special name’s extra branch-selection rule is not supplied by symmetry.
What should the words Heavenly Seal and Hong Luan not imply?
Seal in the title does not mean Direct or Indirect Resource (a traditional role associated with specialized learning and unconventional insight). Wu is Eating God for Bing; calling it Resource reverses the generating direction. Hong Luan likewise does not turn this into a relationship-timing rule.
