Dedicated Resource Combining Lu: Six Gui Days at Geng-Shen Hour
Dedicated Resource Combining Lu is a Gui-day/Geng-Shen-hour method. Geng is Gui’s Direct Resource, and Shen contains Geng, Ren and Wu: Resource, Rob Wealth and Officer. The passage adds implicit links to Si and Yi without making those invoked participants actual chart additions.
Why do all six Gui days have the same Shen hour?
The Hour Stem (the upper symbol in the birth-hour column) starts from the Day Stem (the upper symbol in the birth-day column). Changing the branch of a Gui day leaves Shen hour at Geng-Shen. The table covers every such day/hour pair, not all seasonal or support conditions of the source.
| Day Pillar | Complete Shen Hour Pillar |
|---|---|
| Gui-You (癸酉) | Geng-Shen (庚申) |
| Gui-Wei (癸未) | Geng-Shen (庚申) |
| Gui-Si (癸巳) | Geng-Shen (庚申) |
| Gui-Mao (癸卯) | Geng-Shen (庚申) |
| Gui-Chou (癸丑) | Geng-Shen (庚申) |
| Gui-Hai (癸亥) | Geng-Shen (庚申) |
Which stems are actual and which are invoked?
Wu hidden in Shen is already Gui’s Officer, not an Officer appearing for the first time only after Si is invoked. Bing in Si would be Direct Wealth (a traditional role associated with managing resources and ongoing responsibilities) and Wu Officer; Yi is Gui’s Eating God (a traditional role associated with creativity, expression and enjoyment) and combines with Geng.
Keep those identities separate. Geng-Shen contains neither Yi nor Bing, and absent Si contributes no actual Fire count. The source’s completeness language does not replace the real chart.
| Stem | Role for Gui | Location status |
|---|---|---|
| Geng (庚) | Direct Resource | Actual Hour Stem and in Shen |
| Ren (壬) | Rob Wealth | Actually in Shen |
| Wu (戊) | Officer | Actually in Shen; also in invoked Si |
| Yi (乙) | Eating God | Invoked combination partner |
| Bing (丙) | Direct Wealth | Invoked Si participant |
How can the Ding-You, Jia-Chen, Gui-You, Geng-Shen case be checked?
Gui-You day with Geng-Shen hour is compatible, and the standard month rule gives Jia-Chen for a Ding year, matching the source. For Gui, Ding is Indirect Wealth, Jia Hurting Officer and Geng Direct Resource. The title does not erase Wealth or Output.
The passage discusses Bing controlling Geng, Yin clashing Shen and exposed authority, with Ji/Si character variation in the transmitted caution list. Bing is Gui’s Direct Wealth, Wu/Ji are authority and Si/Wu-Horse Fire branches; the compressed list should not be silently turned into two complete Hour Pillars.
Why discuss this alongside Dedicated Eating God?
Geng-Shen gives Eating God for a Wu day but Direct Resource for a Gui day. The same hour changes role with the Day Master (the birth-day element used as the chart’s reference). The author groups the methods because their implicit Lu explanations resemble each other, not because both are Eating God patterns.
Use this distinction to separate actual support and Wealth/authority relations from additional theory. Resource does not guarantee qualifications, nor Lu a position.
