Gui Hua Wei Yin: Officer, Output and Resource in the Bing-Zi Case

Gui Hua Wei Yin describes controlling influence being read through a Resource-support route. Gui here is an old relational term, not a ghost. The Bing-day example features Gui Officer and Yi Direct Resource, so it should not be reduced to a claim that more Killings always means better Resource.

Identify the relations in the source chart

The example is Yi-Chou, Gui-Wei, Bing-Zi, Yi-Wei. For Bing, Gui is Officer while Ren would be Killings; Yi is Direct Resource and Ji Hurting Officer (a traditional role associated with independent expression and questioning rules). Chou and Wei contain Ji, both Wei branches contain Yi, and Zi contains Gui.

Gui-Wei month fits an Yi year and Yi-Wei hour a Bing day. These checks establish compatibility of the written pillars, not independent verification of a person, achievement or date.

Which route does Resource mediation describe?

Water generates Wood and Wood generates Fire, giving a Gui–Yi–Bing Officer/Resource route. Yi can also control Ji Earth, which can control Gui Water. The example therefore contains competing Output (the role family produced by the birth-day element, often interpreted through expression and activity)/authority relations rather than one unqualified chain of benefits.

Mediation does not rename Gui as Resource: Gui remains Officer and Yi Resource. The passage also invokes Wood storage at Wei and Resource-supporting timing. Two Wei branches are not a complete Hai–Mao–Wei Wood trine.

Why may readings call this Officer, gui or Killings?

Older texts sometimes use authority/gui/Killings broadly for controlling influence, while modern Ten God (one of ten traditional relationship labels defined relative to the birth-day element) tables distinguish polarity (whether a symbol is classified as yin or yang). Explain both the historical wording and the current mapping instead of relabeling Gui as Bing’s Killings.

A general Killings–Resource reading needs an actual Killings participant such as Ren. The source case can be explained accurately through Officer, Resource, self and Output.

What can a reader take from this?

You can check whether a claim about pressure meeting support identifies who controls or generates whom, what sustains the support and what competes with it. A favorable label alone leaves those questions unanswered.

Resource imagery of learning, help and shelter explains traditional language; it does not guarantee exam results, a benefactor or a turning point.
