Day Sitting on Heavenly Wealth: Chen Storage and the Geng-Chen Case

Day Sitting on Heavenly Wealth is a classical name connecting Wealth with Chen storage. Its reference matters: the prose starts with Earth controlling Water, the verse refers to the Year Stem, and the example has Geng as Day Master. It is not a simple promise attached to an Earth day at Chen.

Is Water Wealth or Output? Check the reference

Earth controls Water, making Ren/Gui Wealth relative to Wu/Ji. Water storage at Chen is a separate phase convention. Geng Metal generates Water, so Ren/Gui are Output (the role family produced by the birth-day element, often interpreted through expression and activity) for a Geng Day Master; Wood is its Wealth. The role changes with the reference.

What is present in Ji-Si, Gui-You, Geng-Chen, Jia-Shen?

The pillars are Year, Month, Day and Hour. Ji supplies an Earth Year Stem and Geng-Chen supplies Chen beneath the Day Master. The short passage does not fully explain how these references are combined. Preserve that gap instead of silently changing Geng into Wu or Ji.

Under the usual Geng-Day-Master reading, Ji is Direct Resource (a traditional role associated with learning, care and dependable support), Gui Hurting Officer and Jia Indirect Wealth; Yi in Chen is Direct Wealth. Gui-You month fits a Ji year and Jia-Shen hour a Geng day. These calendar relations do not independently verify the historical person’s birth or biography.

How does it differ from seated Wealth and Wealth storage?

Seated Wealth checks actual Wealth hidden in the Day Branch (the lower symbol in the birth-day column). Wealth storage checks a storage location for the selected Wealth phase. This Heavenly Wealth passage adds Year-Stem wording and a particular case; the three names do not define one universal lookup.

Use this page to understand the old name and its reference. To identify Wealth beneath your Day Master, the ordinary Day-Stem (the upper symbol in the birth-day column)/hidden-stem (an additional element symbol traditionally assigned inside a lower chart symbol) relation is sufficient.

Does Heavenly Wealth tell me how much I own?

No. Heavenly and storage are traditional terms, not unexpected income or a real account. The source’s association with social position and wealth is its interpretation, not financial evidence.

A useful reading identifies whose Wealth is meant, where it appears and which storage convention is used. A promise of riches from the label omits those essential steps.
