Direct Wealth in the Year: Sui Dai Zheng Ma and the Ten-Stem Table

Sui Dai Zheng Ma describes Direct Wealth in the year position. Zheng Ma is Wealth language here, not the Travel Horse marker. Start with the Day Master’s Direct Wealth stem and check Year-Stem exposure. Location alone does not establish money from parents or ancestors.

Which Year Stem is Direct Wealth for each Day Master?

Direct Wealth is the opposite-polarity (whether a symbol is classified as yin or yang) stem of the phase controlled by the Day Master. This table checks the Year Stem only; Wealth hidden in the Year Branch (the lower symbol in the birth-year column) needs its own placement and strength explanation.

How can Jia–Ji and Yi–Wu be shown with valid pillars?

For Jia with Ji-Wei in the year, Ji Direct Wealth is exposed and also hidden in Wei. For Yi with Wu-Chen, Wu Direct Wealth is exposed and rooted in Chen. These partial examples illustrate placement and roots; they are not presented as complete charts quoted from the source.

The source’s compressed Wu 午/Ji and Si/Wu 戊 wording must not be assembled into 己午 or 戊巳 year pillars. Both are invalid sexagenary pairs because their polarity does not match. A branch containing Ji or Wu is different from requiring those stems to occupy the same pillar.

Why does rooted year Wealth still need self-strength and season?

Roots establish support, not that stronger Wealth is always better. The Day Master’s roots, season and supporting roles matter when discussing capacity. Excessive Wealth may add strain or strengthen already heavy authority.

Peer (a traditional role associated with independence and relationships among equals) competition with Wealth does not prove someone will take your money. Identify the participants, strength and modifying relations rather than infer relatives’ behavior from role names.

How do Wealth/Horse and year/inheritance differ?

Travel Horse uses branch-trine groups to select Yin, Shen, Si or Hai. Zheng Ma here uses the Day Master’s Wealth relation. They are different lookups that may coexist or occur separately.

Inheritance depends on actual property and family arrangements. The useful role of this concept is locating Direct Wealth and understanding exposure and support, not replacing financial facts.
