Direct Wealth in the Hour: Valid Hour Table and Jia-Day Examples
Direct Wealth in the Hour locates a Wealth relation in the Hour Pillar, either exposed or hidden. Jia at Ji-Si hour exposes Ji Wealth; Jia at Geng-Wu hour finds Ji hidden in Wu. The complete pillar shows which arrangement is actually present.
Why do Jia’s adjacent Si and Wu hours differ?
Jia day at Si hour is Ji-Si: exposed Ji is Direct Wealth, while hidden Wu 戊 in Si is Indirect Wealth (a traditional role associated with opportunities, exchange and wider connections). At Wu 午 hour the pillar is Geng-Wu: Geng is Killings and Ji Direct Wealth is hidden below. The two Hour Stems are not both Wealth.

What follows after locating hour Wealth?
Examine Wealth’s roots and seasonal support, the self’s capacity and interaction with peers, Output (the role family produced by the birth-day element, often interpreted through expression and activity), authority and Resource (the role family that supports the birth-day element, often interpreted through learning and support). Exposed Ji in Ji-Si and hidden Ji in Geng-Wu need not have equal force.
The source’s concern with clash and damage also needs concrete participants. Zi–Wu clash concerns the Wu branch, but its effect on hidden-stem (an additional element symbol traditionally assigned inside a lower chart symbol) relations requires explanation; a chart contact is not automatically an actual financial loss.
Does it promise outside money, a favorable partner or a wealthy later life?
Those historical associations connect the hour and Wealth with family roles; they do not verify income sources, partner quality or children’s performance. Wealth is not an account balance, and the Hour Pillar is not a retirement plan.
