Travelling Horse Carrying Lu: Yi’s Lu and the Ji-Si Hour

Travelling Horse Carrying Lu connects two lookups. Yi’s Lu is Mao, where the stated derivation obtains Ji; Mao Year gives Horse at Si, and the actual Hour is Ji-Si. The shared Ji links the two accounts. A Horse marker by itself does not establish the whole relationship.

What are the actual four source pillars?

The source chart is Yi-Mao, Wu-Yin, Ji-You, Ji-Si, with compatible calendar pairings. Yi Year stem (the upper symbol in the birth-year column), Mao Year branch (the lower symbol in the birth-year column) and Ji-Si Hour are the key inputs to this Lu/Horse reading.

How does Ji connect Lu at Mao and Horse at Si?

Yi’s Lu is Mao. The Yi-year month-stem (the upper symbol in the birth-month column) sequence gives Wu-Yin and then Ji-Mao, matching the source’s derived Ji. Mao belongs to the Hai/Mao/Wei Horse group, whose Horse is Si; the actual Hour stem (the upper symbol in the birth-hour column) is also Ji.

Derived Ji-Mao is not another natal Month. Continuing that year-based sequence to Si month would give Xin-Si, not Ji-Si. The actual Ji-Si Hour comes from the Ji Day’s hour-stem rule.

Can the following Jia-Shen be assumed to be Fetus?

No. After the four pillars (the chart’s four birth-time columns: year, month, day and hour), the consulted texts give Jia-Shen with hidden-combination wording but do not explicitly label it Fetus. The common month-plus-one-stem/plus-three-branches rule gives Ji-Si from Wu-Yin Month, not Jia-Shen.

Jia-Shen and Ji-Si form Jia/Ji stem and Si/Shen branch combinations, a checkable basis for the invocation. Jia-Shen is absent from the natal pillars, so its characters and hidden stems (the additional element symbols traditionally assigned inside each lower chart symbol) cannot be inserted into birth data.

How should invoked Officer and actual Officer evidence be separated?

For Ji Day, Jia is Officer (the role family that controls the birth-day element, often interpreted through rules and demands), and the actual Yin Month already hides Jia/Bing/Wu. That actual hidden Jia differs from the Jia-Shen invocation; neither makes two natal Jia-Shen pillars.

Mao Year clashes with You Day, and Si/You lacks Chou for a complete Metal trine. Favorable Lu/Horse language does not erase those facts or establish travel, work or income outcomes.
