Six Jia Approaching Qian: Yi-Hai Hour, Ren Resource and Wealth

Six Jia Approaching Qian is a traditional reading of Jia at Hai hour. Hai carries Qian/Heaven-Gate symbolism and is Jia’s Birth stage; the text also invokes absent Yin Lu through Hai. The complete hour is Yi-Hai, including Yi Rob Wealth (a traditional role associated with shared resources, cooperation and competition) rather than only its Hai branch.

What is Hai hour on all six Jia days?

A Jia day starts with Jia-Zi and reaches Yi-Hai at Hai hour. Hai in year, month or day does not replace the specified hour position.

DayHai hour
Jia-Zi (甲子)Yi-Hai (乙亥)
Jia-Xu (甲戌)Yi-Hai (乙亥)
Jia-Shen (甲申)Yi-Hai (乙亥)
Jia-Wu (甲午)Yi-Hai (乙亥)
Jia-Chen (甲辰)Yi-Hai (乙亥)
Jia-Yin (甲寅)Yi-Hai (乙亥)

Whose Resource and Lu are in Hai?

Hai contains Ren and Jia: Indirect Resource (a traditional role associated with specialized learning and unconventional insight) and Peer (a traditional role associated with independence and relationships among equals) for Jia. Ren’s Lu is Hai; Jia’s own Lu is Yin. Jia being at Birth in Hai does not move its Lu there.

Xin is Jia’s Officer, and Metal nourishing Water connects Xin, Ren Resource and Jia. Wu Indirect Wealth and Ji Direct Wealth can control Water, creating the Wealth–Resource question.

How do Yin, Si and Mao change the reading?

Actual Yin supplies Jia’s real Lu and a Yin–Hai Six Combination. Si–Hai is a standard Six Clash, not a pair in the standard punishment table; broad source wording does not change that classification.

Hai and Mao belong to the Hai–Mao–Wei Wood group but alone are neither a full trine nor a Six Combination. The source treats Mao as modifying Hai’s direction without creating a new basic table.

Why does the source both caution against and favor Wealth?

The compiler explicitly notes the disagreement and distinguishes protecting exposed Resource from using Wealth when the Day Master (the birth-day element used as the chart’s reference) is well supported. Soil Wealth may affect needed Ren Resource; supported Jia poses a different question.

This is neither a universal verdict about Wealth nor investment advice. The useful question is which support conditions apply and what Wealth affects, rather than treating opposing sayings as equally certain conclusions.
