Killings Generates Resource: How Pressure Reaches Supporting Resources
Killings generating Resource is a chain from Seven Killings to Resource to the Day Master. A controlling influence is read through an intermediary that supports the self: Geng Metal controls Jia Wood, yet generates Ren/Gui Water, which generates Jia. This is not reciprocal generation between Killings and Resource, and their simultaneous presence does not automatically create a favorable pattern.
What are the five elemental chains?
First identify the elemental direction, then use stem polarity (whether a symbol is classified as yin or yang) to distinguish Killings from Officer (the role family that controls the birth-day element, often interpreted through rules and demands) and the two Resource types. The controlling element can contain either authority role; a Killings–Resource reading must identify actual Killings.
| Self element | Controlling side | Resource intermediary | Self supported |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wood | Metal | Water | Wood |
| Fire | Water | Wood | Fire |
| Earth | Wood | Fire | Earth |
| Metal | Fire | Earth | Metal |
| Water | Earth | Metal | Water |
Where are Killings and Resource in a complete illustration?
Synthetic illustration: Geng-Shen Year, Jia-Shen Month, Jia-Zi Day and Yi-Hai Hour. Calendar pairings fit. Geng in the Year is Jia’s Seven Killings, with Geng also in both Shen branches; Ren Resource is hidden in Shen/Hai and Gui in Zi.
| Position | Pillar | Hidden stems | Roles relative to Jia |
|---|---|---|---|
| Year | Geng-Shen (庚申) | Geng, Ren, Wu | Killings, Indirect Resource, Indirect Wealth |
| Month | Jia-Shen (甲申) | Geng, Ren, Wu | Killings, Indirect Resource, Indirect Wealth |
| Day | Jia-Zi (甲子) | Gui | Direct Resource |
| Hour | Yi-Hai (乙亥) | Ren, Jia | Indirect Resource, Peer |
Why isn’t finding all three roles enough?
Resource needs sufficient roots, seasonal support and connection to receive the Killings influence and sustain the self. The self’s need for that support matters too. This illustration has exposed Jia/Yi and a Jia root in Hai, so it should not be described as helpless and necessarily following Killings.
Shen and Hai harm each other; Shen/Zi lacks Chen and is not a complete Water trine. Hidden Ren/Gui must not be called fully exposed Resource. These actual conditions are the basis of assessing the link, not proof of a completed pattern or life result.
How do Resource flow, Eating God control and following differ?
For Jia, the three routes have different directions. Xin Officer can also generate Water Resource, but sharing that generating direction does not turn Xin into Seven Killings.
| Route | Jia illustration | Main question |
|---|---|---|
| Killings–Resource | Geng generates Ren/Gui, which generates Jia | Does Resource receive and deliver support? |
| Eating God control | Bing Fire controls Geng Metal | Is restraint effective without excess? |
| Follow Killings | An unsupported self follows dominant Killings | Is effective independent support truly absent? |
Why reassess when Wealth or Eating God appears?
For Jia, Wu/Ji Earth can generate Geng while controlling Ren/Gui Water. If needed Resource is damaged, the controlling side may strengthen while support weakens. That possibility still requires evidence about actual strength and contact.
Bing controls Geng, but Ren can control Bing. Resource may therefore interfere with an existing Eating God control route. Two favorable-sounding names do not automatically add together.
Does turning pressure into support guarantee career success?
No. As a reflection metaphor, it can prompt a useful question: do demanding situations come with learning, methods and resources that help you respond? The answer comes from experience and context.
A useful reading names the actual Killings, Resource, connection and possible interruption. The pattern itself guarantees neither benefactors, qualifications, management ability nor promotion.
