Xin-Hai (辛亥)Hairpin MetalOne side of the Ren-Chen exchange
Ren-Chen (壬辰)Long-Flowing WaterThe historical Water seal pillar
Ding-Hai (丁亥)Roof EarthDing combines with Ren; Hai is Ren’s Lu

Does Water proper seal mean Ren is Xin’s Direct Resource?

No. Ren-Chen is the proper storehouse pillar for Water Nayin, a historical seal term. Relative to Xin Day, Ren is Hurting Officer and Wu Direct Resource. These two uses of Resource/Seal differ.

Xin-Hai itself has Metal Nayin, whose own Metal seal is Yi-Chou. The phrase Water seal must not be rewritten as Xin-Hai’s home Metal seal. The relevant reference needs to remain explicit.

Are both directions compatible if assigned to Day and Hour?

Xin-Hai Day/Ren-Chen Hour and Ren-Chen Day/Xin-Hai Hour are compatible. Ren-Chen Day/Ding-Hai Hour is not: Ren Day’s Hai Hour is Xin-Hai. The proper-form label cannot change the calendar assignment.

A synthetic illustration is Ren-Chen, Xin-Hai, Ding-Hai, Xin-Hai. Its pairs are compatible and show the Year, Day and Hour roles separately. It is not a historical chart supplied by the source.

Do Ding/Ren combination and Lu at Hai prove transformation or rank?

Ding/Ren is a Five Combination and Ren’s Lu is Hai, but transformation to Wood needs its own seasonal and whole-chart analysis. The source’s praise of public achievement likewise is not outcome evidence.

A useful explanation identifies complete pillars, positions, Nayin seal, stem combination and Lu separately. Dragon or gate imagery cannot replace those conditions.
