Virtue and Elegance Nobleman: four Month-Branch groups and stem table

Virtue and Elegance Nobleman (De Xiu Gui Ren, 德秀贵人) begins with the Month Branch’s trine group, then checks stems in the chart. The source calls De the flourishing virtue of the month and Xiu balanced seasonal qi. This is a separate four-group table, not Monthly Virtue or proof of moral character.

Which De and Xiu stems belong to each month group?

Choose the row from the Month Branch. Chen belongs to the Shen–Zi–Chen Water group; a Wu Day Branch (the lower symbol in the birth-day column) does not switch the lookup to Yin–Wu–Xu.

The De column lists candidate De stems, while Xiu retains the paired groupings in the source. A version must separately state whether every stem is required and how it treats clashes or control.

What can a Chen month with Gui, Bing, Xin and Ren establish?

This stem fragment selects the Shen–Zi–Chen row. Gui and Ren are De candidates; Bing and Xin form one listed Xiu pair; Jia–Ji is absent.

This demonstrates table matching. It does not establish transformation of the Bing–Xin combination or universal agreement about what counts as obtaining De Xiu. A complete claim must state the pillars and its version’s threshold.

How do De Xiu, Monthly Virtue and Heavenly Virtue differ?

Monthly Virtue derives one stem from the Month Branch’s trine, and Monthly Virtue Combination takes its paired stem. Heavenly Virtue has a separate twelve-month table involving stems, branches or trigram directions. De Xiu instead uses the multi-stem structure above.

Sharing the word Virtue does not make those tables interchangeable or their counts additive. A report should show each formula and location separately. Clarify does not calculate De Xiu.

De and Xiu are not a personality test

Traditional praise concerns intelligence, gentleness and refinement, but a birth table cannot prove that a person is kind, intelligent or educated, or treat an unmatched person as the opposite. Character is understood through choices and behavior.

The useful steps are identifying the Month row, actual stems and the chosen threshold. Later symbolic interpretation remains a traditional viewpoint rather than factual certification.
