Ten Spirits Day and Six Elegance: lists, lookup and talent claims
Ten Spirits Day (Shi Ling Ri, 十灵日) and Six Elegance (Liu Xiu, 六秀) are day labels used in some BaZi material for sensitivity, understanding or refinement. A list of dates has not measured talent, learning ability or appearance. The transmitted lists below preserve this knowledge base’s earlier reference for checking reports; their early textual provenance remains unresolved.
Ten Spirits: the ten complete day pairs
Compare the complete birth Day Pillar (the two-symbol column for the birth day). A Jia stem or Chen branch alone does not replace Jia-Chen. If the date or day-boundary convention is unresolved, establish the day first instead of choosing whichever description feels more personal.

Which six pairs are Six Elegance, and do they overlap?
The Six-Elegance list here contains Bing-Wu, Ding-Wei, Wu-Zi, Wu-Wu, Ji-Chou and Ji-Wei. Its only overlap with the Ten-Spirits list above is Wu-Wu 戊午. Bing-Wu is in Six Elegance only, and Jia-Chen in Ten Spirits only. Favorable-sounding names do not make the classifications identical.
| Six-Elegance pair | Also in this Ten-Spirits list |
|---|---|
| Bing-Wu 丙午 | No |
| Ding-Wei 丁未 | No |
| Wu-Zi 戊子 | No |
| Wu-Wu 戊午 | Yes |
| Ji-Chou 己丑 | No |
| Ji-Wei 己未 | No |
Why is this not presented as a settled classical list?
Checking a list’s internal pairs does not establish the earliest book or edition that supplied it. General historical references to Fate Stars in the earlier knowledge base are not direct textual evidence for these exact ten or six pairs. No author or classical quotation is supplied to fill that gap.
When another version differs, identify the added or removed pair and examine its source. Combining versions while still calling them ten or six days hides the difference. Clarify currently calculates neither marker, and they do not affect existing reports.
What can these lists say about insight, learning or appearance?
Wu-Wu appearing in both lists is a date shared by two classifications, not two independent high test scores. Writing, observation and understanding new concepts can be explored through practice, work and feedback. An interest does not require a particular birth day.
Spirits does not establish mediumship or special perception, and Elegance does not establish beauty, intelligence or guaranteed success. The names can be learned as cultural vocabulary without defining yourself by them or discounting demonstrated skills when your day is absent.
