Spirits Concealed, Evils Vanquished: Four Stems, Seasonal Months and a Separate Tomb Account

The primary account requires all four Yang stems Jia/Geng/Bing/Ren, or all four Yin stems Yi/Xin/Ding/Gui, with a seasonal-month preference. It is not simply having many Yang or Yin stems, and the name does not mean real risks have vanished. A separate Tomb/directional account should remain distinct.

Which four stems and months are specified?

The Yang set excludes Wu and the Yin set excludes Ji. Meng means the first month of a season and Ji the last; Month Branch follows solar terms. The four stems are exposed across the birth pillars, not supplied from hidden stems.

Can a four-stem match coexist with an actual clash?

These are synthetic illustrations, not historical biographies. Their calendar pairs are compatible, without an identified civil birth date.

Synthetic chartStem/month conditionRetained interaction
Jia-Zi (甲子), Bing-Yin (丙寅), Geng-Wu (庚午), Ren-Wu (壬午)Jia/Bing/Geng/Ren; Yin starts a seasonZi–Wu clash
Yi-Chou (乙丑), Gui-Wei (癸未), Ding-Mao (丁卯), Xin-Chou (辛丑)Yi/Gui/Ding/Xin; Wei ends a seasonChou–Wei clash

Why is the alternate four-Tomb account separate?

The alternate method starts from the Month Branch’s trine group, assigns a phase-Tomb position, then discusses directions and spirit generals. Its phase Tombs are not interchangeable with every individual stem’s twelve stages.

Are the named spirit generals simply Ten Gods?

No. The source associates Tengshe/Zhuque with Fire, Baihu with Metal and Xuanwu with Water, then discusses controlling directions. That spirit-general imagery differs from Day Master (the birth-day element used as the chart’s reference)-relative Ten Gods (traditional labels for relationships to the birth-day element), and a partial list does not justify an invented complete table.

The main account’s claim to remain favorable despite clashes is an interpretive stance, not deletion of those interactions. These accounts explain historical vocabulary without establishing safety or labeling real people as evil.
