Secret Carriers in the Four Pillars: The Missing Complete Pair between Two Endpoints
Secret Carriers invokes the missing complete pillar between two sexagenary positions separated by one intervening pair. It does not create an extra birth pillar. Both stem and branch must be checked, rather than adding desired Wealth (the role family controlled by the birth-day element, often interpreted through resources and practical demands), authority or noble markers from loosely related branches.
Which direction gives the middle pillar in the two examples?
In the cycle, Jia-Zi goes forward through Yi-Chou to Bing-Yin, or backward through Gui-Hai to Ren-Xu. The second example gives Jia-Zi year before Ren-Xu month; keep that original positional order.

Are both source year/month pairs calendar-compatible?
Jia-Zi year with Bing-Yin month is compatible. Jia-Zi year with Ren-Xu month is not: a Jia year’s Xu month is Jia-Xu. The second pair still illustrates a cycle gap, but not verified calendar data.
As day/hour pairs, Jia-Zi with Bing-Yin is also compatible, whereas Jia-Zi with Ren-Xu is not: a Jia day’s Xu hour is Jia-Xu. Cycle-gap calculation and birth-calendar compatibility are separate checks.
Can the source’s Yi-Chou Resource label be read as an ordinary Day Master role?
The source does not provide a complete Day Master and uses historical whole-pillar labels. With Jia as the reference, Yi is Rob Wealth, not Direct Resource; Chou contains Ji Wealth, Gui Resource and Xin Officer. Distinguish a pillar label from an individual hidden-stem role.
Chou is a Tianyi Nobleman branch for Jia. Hai is also within Xu/Hai Void if the reference is the Jia-Zi year’s decade. Those are year-stem (the upper symbol in the birth-year column) or year-pillar (the two-symbol column for the birth year) references, not automatically Day Master or day-decade findings.
How should an invoked result be recorded clearly?
State the full endpoints, their positions, direction, middle pair and reference, explicitly marking the middle pair as invoked. This avoids confusing cycle proximity with calendar compatibility or historical labels with actual Ten Gods (traditional labels for relationships to the birth-day element).
The invocation adds no real phase count and proves no honor, disgrace or accident. It explains a historical interpretive method while retaining the boundary around the actual chart.
