Heavenly Noble: complete Tian Yi table and Geng-day variants

Heavenly Noble (Tian Yi Gui Ren, 天乙贵人) is traditionally associated with assistance and room to resolve difficulty. Clarify selects two candidate branches from the Day Stem (the upper symbol in the birth-day column) and records whichever occur. The name does not identify a specific person who must help you.

Do both target branches have to appear?

No. Each row contains two alternatives. Record either one when present, or both locations when both occur. Clarify uses the Day Stem here, without adding a separate Year-Stem (the upper symbol in the birth-year column) result.

How do Geng with Chou and Geng with Yin differ?

Under Clarify’s convention, Geng with Chou or Wei matches; Yin or Wu alone does not. Xin instead targets Yin or Wu. Grouping Geng and Xin together changes the result for Geng.

Xuan Ze Ji Yao records the competing Jia–Wu–Geng and Geng–Xin groupings. This page states the product’s choice without presenting it as universal. Separate day/night Tian Yi and Yu Tang positions also have a different scope from this two-candidate table.

How can assistance imagery be read usefully?

The image can prompt reflection on existing support: who gives useful feedback, which resources are available, and whether you ask for help. Actual communication identifies those people; a branch lookup cannot supply names or dates.

Within BaZi, Chou and Wei still have hidden stems (the additional element symbols traditionally assigned inside each lower chart symbol), seasonal conditions and contacts. Tian Yi does not replace them. Historical discussions likewise distinguish conditions surrounding the marker instead of ending at its presence.
