Golden Chariot: ten-stem table, Lu derivation and examples
Golden Chariot (Jin Yu, 金舆) uses the image of a valued carriage to suggest support, recognition and material surroundings. Its target lies two branch steps forward from the reference stem’s Lu. This guide uses the Day Stem (the upper symbol in the birth-day column) for the common natal-table convention.
Move two steps forward from Lu
Use the cyclic branch order. Jia moves from Yin to Mao and then Chen; Gui moves from Zi to Chou and then Yin. The Lu column lets you reproduce the calculation.
Sanming Tonghui illustrates Golden Chariot with a Jia-Zi person in an older Lu-Ming context. A reading should state whether it uses the Year Stem (the upper symbol in the birth-year column) or Day Stem instead of blending the references.

What does Jia with Chen actually satisfy?
Jia targets Chen. Chen at the month gives a Golden Chariot location there. Yin without Chen is Jia’s Lu, but not its Golden Chariot target.
Chen hides Wu, Yi and Gui: Indirect Wealth, Rob Wealth and Direct Resource for Jia. The branch contains different relationships; carriage imagery does not turn all of it into a financial asset.
How does the carriage image relate to resources?
A carriage historically conveyed status and support. Read today, that imagery can draw attention to the conditions that sustain daily life: arrangements, assistance and resources. Actual support still comes from income, skills, cooperation and institutions.
Golden Chariot does not establish ownership of a home or vehicle, or support from a partner. It is distinct from a Wealth (the role family controlled by the birth-day element, often interpreted through resources and practical demands) star and is not an asset formula. Clarify does not currently calculate it.
