Turning Away from Lu, Not Poor: Output, Authority and Another Wealth Route

Turning Away from Lu, Not Poor considers another route when Officer is out of season or controlled by Output: that same Output may nourish Wealth. Lu here chiefly means Officer, not the Jian Lu month lookup. Not poor names the historical argument, not a guarantee of income or living standards.

Who are Output and Wealth for Ren/Gui in spring?

Wood is Output, Fire Wealth and Earth authority for Water Day Masters. Ren and Gui differ in polarity (whether a symbol is classified as yin or yang). The spring discussion concerns a relationship between Wood and Fire, not automatic Wealth from any Wood character.

Where are Hurting Officer and Wealth in the Ding-Wei example?

The chart Ren-Zi, Ren-Zi, Ding-Wei, Wu-Shen has compatible calendar pairs. For Ding, both Ren are Officer, Wu is Hurting Officer and Geng in Shen is Direct Wealth. Wu controlling Ren and Wu producing Geng are different relationships.

Shen also contains Ren and Wu; Wei contains Ji Eating God, Ding Peer (a traditional role associated with independence and relationships among equals) and Yi Indirect Resource (a traditional role associated with specialized learning and unconventional insight). Gui in Zi is Ding’s Killings. A brief Output-to-Wealth phrase must not hide those actual participants.

Does the source’s Ding–Ren explanation establish completed Wood transformation?

Ding–Ren is a Five Stem Combination with Wood as its transformation direction. One Ding with two Ren, winter Water and Ding’s root in Wei still need explanation; combination alone does not erase the original stems.

The passage discusses both strong Gui Water and Ding–Ren transforming toward Wood. The pair’s direction is not transformation into Gui Water. Keep pairing, direction and completed transformation distinct.

Why does the wet-Wood image matter as a counterexample?

The wet-Wood metaphor cautions that the generating route needs support. Writing Wood produces Fire does not establish useful Wealth; season, Fire roots and other controls matter.

The entry separates weakened authority from possible support for another Wealth route. It does not promise that weakened Officer creates wealth or that all Output becomes income.
