True Officer and Urging Officer: Four Pairs and Reversed References
True Officer (the role family that controls the birth-day element, often interpreted through rules and demands) and Urging Officer presents two groups of short examples. The first directly finds Officer for the starting stem; the second requires attention to the reverse reference. This explains why Geng–Yi and Wu–Gui are not simply “I meet Officer,” and why the name is not a technique for accelerating promotion.
Whose Officer appears in each of the four pairs?

Can the directional phrases be turned directly into timing?
The first two move from Chou to Yin. The latter two move from Chen to Mao and from Zi to Chou: one backward step and one forward step. “From below upward” therefore cannot simply mean always moving backward through the branches.
The passage does not fully specify its historical life-unit reference or upper/lower positions. It suggests relational direction without supplying a month or year for career action or permission to swap pillar positions freely.
Why are four combining stem pairs still different examples?
Jia–Ji, Bing–Xin, Yi–Geng and Wu–Gui are combination pairs with different directed phases, references and positions. Combining does not guarantee transformation and may describe binding rather than extra support.
Reducing the passage to the two labels combination and Officer removes the directional differences that make its examples useful.
How should this be separated from real career decisions?
These historical names establish no sponsor, vacancy or assessment result. Career changes depend on organizational needs, abilities, performance and communication.
When reading an interpretation, look for the exact pair, reference and position. A clear relational explanation is more informative than treating the name as a promise of imminent promotion.
