Lu Ma Guan Yin: Wealth, Officer and Resource in the Gui-Day Case

Lu Ma Guan Yin uses a Gui-Day source case to describe several supported relations. It is not a checklist of modern Lu, Travel Horse, Officer (the role family that controls the birth-day element, often interpreted through rules and demands) and Resource (the role family that supports the birth-day element, often interpreted through learning and support) badges. Each word must be returned to the example to understand the text’s claim that the components have qi.

How can the four pillars be read component by component?

The case is 戊申 辛酉 癸丑 丁巳, with Gui as Day Master. Xin Metal is Indirect Resource, not Direct Resource, and You is Xin’s Lu. Ding is Indirect Wealth; Si contains Bing Direct Wealth, Wu Direct Officer and Geng Direct Resource. Keep those identities separate.

What does supported qi add beyond four names?

Xin-You supplies Resource with its own Lu position; Ding-Si introduces Fire Wealth (the role family controlled by the birth-day element, often interpreted through resources and practical demands) and Earth Officer, while Metal Resource can generate Gui Water. Fire-to-Earth-to-Metal-to-Water helps explain the source’s reasoning, subject to placement and seasonal participation.

The whole chain is not assumed complete merely because generation is possible. Chou also carries Ji Killings, Wealth can control Resource, and authority mixture and placement still need examination.

Why is Horse not automatically the Travel Horse marker?

The passage explains Lu/Horse alongside Wealth, Officer and Resource, without defining a new Travel Horse table. Year Shen and Day Chou also lead to different targets under the common trine-based Travel Horse method; Si or Shen cannot be read backward into this title.

Tian Yi Nobleman is additional context in the source case, not automatically a universal fifth badge. Distinguish a feature this example has from a requirement every eligible chart would need.

What is useful about this compound name?

It encourages the reader to unpack resources, constraints and support into specific positions and interactions. Four favorable names without that explanation do not reproduce the source reasoning.

Historical treasure and emolument language does not establish savings, property, office or security. Understanding the relations helps read the text or a report; it does not certify actual resources.
