Nayin vs. Zodiac Animals: One Rat Sign Has Five Nayin Results

A zodiac animal comes from the Year Branch (the lower symbol in the birth-year column); Nayin (a separate named element classification for a complete pair of chart symbols) comes from the complete Year Jiazi. One animal returns every twelve years and pairs with five stems across the sixty-Jiazi cycle, producing five different Nayin phases. Rat or Horse alone cannot complete the lookup.

What are the five Nayin results for Rat years?

The 子 branch stays the same while the Year Stem (the upper symbol in the birth-year column) changes, so the Nayin result changes too. Zodiac is not shorthand for Nayin.

丙子RatWater Under the StreamWater

庚子RatEarth on the WallEarth

How do birth details produce the correct Year Pillar?

Use a declared calendar, timezone and year boundary to calculate the complete Year Pillar (the two-symbol column for the birth year). Preserve uncertainty or alternate results near a boundary. An animal-sign page that supplies only the branch still lacks the stem required for Nayin.

Why can zodiac and Nayin compatibility not be blended?

Zodiac compatibility usually uses Branch combinations, clashes and related contacts. Nayin compatibility uses pair-level phases or images. Calculate and label them separately; a Branch combination and Nayin generation are not duplicate points in one score.

Can either label define a person?

No. One animal or Year Nayin covers many different charts and lives. These are traditional classification fields and contain no person’s behavior, worth, health, relationship quality or choices.
