How Does a ‘Nayin School’ Read a Chart? Name the Text and Rules First
Nayin (a separate named element classification for a complete pair of chart symbols) school is not one universal worksheet. Historical texts may use year-life, host–self, Nayin generation, three-yuan terms or named images, and modern authors may reorganize them. Start by naming the text, edition, anchor pillars and rule order.
What must a reproducible method disclose?
Disclose source and edition, Year-only or Four-Pillar scope, Nayin table, compared positions, direction, whether three-yuan or Fate-Star layers enter, and their order relative to Zi Ping strength. Ancient comprehensive method is insufficient for reproduction.
| Item | Required disclosure |
|---|---|
| Source | Text, section, edition or modern rule author |
| Input | Exact Jiazi, positions and natal or timing layer |
| Operation | Lookup, direction and conditions |
| Evidence order | How Nayin, three-yuan, Fate Stars and Zi Ping are ordered |
| Output | Boundary between traditional classification and real inference |
Why can three source families not be merged silently?
Wuxing Jingji preserves a three-yuan model of stem, branch and Nayin alongside Lu Ming material. Sanming Tonghui volume 1 compiles Nayin derivations and images, while volume 2 explains hidden stems in its Human-Origin section. Yuanhai Ziping foregrounds the Day Master and Month Command. Similar terms do not always perform the same task.
Side-by-side comparison reveals historical difference. Cutting sentences into one fixed Nayin three-tier master algorithm hides changes of source.
How does one reading stay coherent?
Calculate the Four Pillars (the chart’s four birth-time columns: year, month, day and hour) and Nayin, extract permitted participants and order from the chosen source, apply each rule and record missing conditions, then report Zi Ping structure or real evidence separately. Do not borrow a rule from another text when the first result feels unfavorable.
Does internal historical coherence prove prediction?
No. A method can be internally defined and still require separate evidence for real-world performance. These materials support learning and source comparison; historical status does not guarantee personal outcomes.
