Ten God strength: what do strong Wealth and strong self mean?
Ten God strength concerns the support, expenditure and restraint affecting the element carrying a role. For Jia Wood, Earth is Wealth: strong Wealth describes Earth’s conditions, while strong self describes Jia Wood’s conditions. These are different subjects. A reading typically considers month command, roots, visibility and other stems and branches, rather than counting Wealth labels.
First identify the stem or role family being assessed
For Jia, Wu is Indirect Wealth (a traditional role associated with opportunities, exchange and wider connections) and Ji is Direct Wealth (a traditional role associated with managing resources and ongoing responsibilities), both Earth. Strong Wealth may summarize that elemental family; rooted Ji Direct Wealth requires actual Ji or same-element Earth roots under the stated convention. Keep these scopes distinct.
The same Xin is Direct Officer for Jia and Direct Wealth for Bing. Xin’s seasonal and rooting assessment still concerns Metal; a changed Day Master changes its role name and place in the overall interpretation.
What do seasonal command, roots and revelation contribute?
These conditions can align or diverge. A visible stem outside its season and an unrevealed stem in the month branch (the lower symbol in the birth-month column) call for different descriptions.
| Condition | Evidence to identify | What it does not settle |
|---|---|---|
| Seasonal command | The element relative to the natal month branch | In season means favorable |
| Rooting | Exact-stem or same-element qi in a named branch | Every root has equal weight |
| Revealed or hidden | Actual visible stem and source branch | Visible means stronger; hidden means inactive |
| Generation, expenditure and restraint | Specific supporting and limiting participants | Generation is always good; restraint always bad |
| Interactions and positions | Members, sources and interpretive convention | A matched relationship deletes original symbols |
If Xin is visible and rooted in You, is that one occurrence or two?
The visible Xin and Xin within You occupy two locations. The hidden Xin is also a root supporting the visible stem. Both facts can be described, but after accounting for that root you should not add it again as wholly unrelated extra support.
For Jia, both occurrences are Direct Officer. For Bing, both are Direct Wealth. Being in different layers does not turn an exact role into its direct or indirect counterpart.
Does being in season settle strength or usefulness?
Not by itself. Xin Metal for a Jia Day Master has a different seasonal setting in You month versus Mao month, but roots such as Shen or You, Earth generation, Fire restraint and other relationships still matter. The month alone is not a complete reading.
Seasonal command and receiving generation are not interchangeable in every text. Jia receiving Water support in Hai or Zi month should be distinguished from Wood’s own seasonal command in Yin or Mao.
What is affected when a reading says Wealth combines or Officer is clashed?
Restore the actual characters. Jia’s Ji is Direct Wealth, and Jia–Ji describes a stem combination. A statement that Wealth was taken away skips whether there is binding, transformation or another conditional reading.
If Jia’s Direct Officer is Xin in You, arriving Mao forms a Mao–You branch clash. The next question concerns Xin’s root and position; Direct Officer is not a literal job being knocked out of the chart.
What makes a strength conclusion informative?
An informative conclusion names the role family or stem, season, roots, support, restraint and remaining uncertainty. Indirect Wealth: 82 without a defined scale does not let you compare different tools.
Strong means the method assesses a more substantial role; it does not guarantee income, education, ability or a relationship outcome. Usefulness still requires the question the overall arrangement is meant to address.
